Fort Festival of Trees The Friends of the Fort Recovery Library announce the 3rd annual “Fort Festival of Trees.” This free event will be held at the Fort Recovery Library from December 7-22, 2007. Visitors will be invited to vote for their favorite tree, and the winner will be given the People’s Choice Award. Your business, organization, or family can be a part of the Fort Festival of Trees by contributing a decorated tree to be displayed at the library. Your tree can be any size from 3-7 feet tall and the decorations on it should reflect a theme, such as “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” or a “Country Western Christmas.” Perhaps your company or club could decorate a tree centered on your product or business. Your group will be responsible for setting up the display and then disassembling it at a later date. If you are interested in participating, or if you have any questions, please call or email Mindy Bubp at 375-0124 (mwbubp@yahoo.com) or call the library at 375-2869 by November 27, 2007. More details will be sent to you concerning set-up, etc. at that time. Last year we had 28 unique and beautiful trees, and we hope to have an even bigger and better show this year. The Friends of the Library are excited about the Fort Festival of Trees and hope you will want to participate in this event! |
