Arts Month - Barn Quilt Painting

paint paletteDo you love to paint? Looking for a fun night out? Join us at the Library Tuesday, February 20 at 6:00 PM as local artist, Angie Clark, guides individuals in creating a barn quilt painting. Participants will create a design of their own to take home. This event costs $30.00 per individual and has a limited number of openings available. Contact the Library at 419-375-2869 to reserve your spot today.

Unlock The Box Adventure

Can You Unlock The Box? Our fun, interactive game of intrigue and adventure is back. Passports are locked in the box and the 2018 Winter Olympic Games will be ending soon. Can you unlock the box and get the passports out to make it to the closing ceremony? Solve the puzzles to get the keys. Pre-registration is required and game dates are February 14 - 19 during library hours. Call the library to sign up for 1 hour sessions in groups of 6. It's a fun time for all.

Adult Reading Challenge

Books with iPadPatrons age 50 and over are invited to participate in an Adult Reading Challenge February 1 - March 1, sponsored by: Briarwood Village, Celina Manor, Van Wert Manor and the Libraries of Mercer County. Each time a patron checks out books, audio books, or digital books, he/she can fill out one entry form (per visit) for a chance to win weekly prizes. A Grand Prize of a Kindle Fire will be announced March 2nd. 

Winner - 2017 Festival of Trees

Ladder Christmas Tree with Fire trucksCongratulations to the Southwest Mercer Fire District for receiving the People's Choice Award during the 2017 Fort Festival of Trees at the Fort Recovery Public Library! The "tree", entitled "A Tribute to Steve Franke; featuring his personal collection" received the most votes and claimed the title. Thank you to the Southwester Mercer Fire District, and all the participants of the Fort Festival of Trees for making this another successful display. 

 

Battle of the Books 2018

The Fort Recovery Library will be hosting the annual Battle Of The Books for FR students in 4th-6th grades who have a love for reading. Students that have already registered will be meeting at the Library to work with teammates and prepare for the competition. The Battle of the Books will be held Tuesday, March 20th in Fort Recovery. Adoption Program

Alison Homan, local Fort Recovery resident, will be sharing her family's foreign adoption stories and experiences at the Fort Recovery Library on Tuesday, January 23rd at 6:00 PM. Join us for a slide presentation and discussion about foreign adoption. This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
