Summer Reading

"Hey, You Guys!" It's movie time...We'll be showing an 80s classic. *A Note for parents: Common Sense Media rates this movie for ages 10+.

Ahoy, Matey! Get ready for a Pirate Treasure Hunt! Work as a team solving puzzles to quickly figure out how to Unlock The Box. Registration is Required by calling the library at 419-375-2869. Fun for families and students (3rd Graders and older recommended).

It's time for our Summer Reading Program to end! Join us for a fun "finale" at the Cooper Community Pavilion, followed by open swim time at Ambassador Pool. A light supper will be served at 5:00 PM and prizes will be given at 5:45. The pool is open to participants of the Summer Reading Program at no charge from 6 - 8 PM on July 13. Thank you to the Village for allowing us the use of the Pavilion and the Ambassador Pool.

Join us for a toddlers and preschool story time at 10:30 AM. This event is part of the summer reading program, "Oceans of Possibilities". 

Craft time is play time at the library. Kids of all ages are invited to come and choose from a variety of crafts to assemble. No registration is required. 

Kids of all ages are invited to participate in a variety of games held indoors at the Library. No pre-registration is required for this event.

Babies through preschool aged children and a parent/guardian are invited to join us for a fun Ocean-themed Music and Story Time. Kids will be able to move, groove, dance and sing during this fun program!

Join the Mercer County Soil and Water Conservation District as they share "The Incredible Journey". Students will become a water molecule and travel through the water cycle. This program is intended for students ages 8 and up.

Whether exploring the vast open sea or the far reaches of space, the possibilities for adventure are endless! Program participants will look at these two areas of exploration and "dive deep" into the similarities and differences between them. Participants will look at the necessary tools and resources needed to explore these harsh otherworldly environments like protective suits and oxygen. Program is intended for students in Second Grade and above.

Students in grades 2 - 5 are welcome to join Mrs. Abby Scheidt, FR 3rd Grade Teacher, as she shares a fun story and activity. This project will be geared more for older children. For more information, contact the library at 419-375-2869.
