The Friends of the Library will be hosting a Pumpkin Painting evening at the Fort Recovery Public Library on Tuesday, October 8th. There will be three sessions for patrons to choose from, and the cost for the event is $1.00 per child. There is no charge for members of the Friends of the Library. Each session runs for 45 minutes and the beginning times are 4:30 PM, 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Please pre-register for this event by calling the Library at 419-375-2869. 

Create A Fairy Garden

Join us at the Library, Tuesday, May 7 at 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm, and create your own summer fairy garden. Presenter, Jenni Smith, will show us how to use small objects and lots of imagination to make a pretend home for fairies. Materials will be provided and all ages are welcome to attend. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The cost for this event is $5.00 per person and registration is required. Money must be paid in advance for this event. Please stop by the Library by April 30th to make your reservation. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Battle of the Books Competition

The annual Battle of the Books competition between Fort Recovery Local Schools Students and Coldwater Schools will be held at the Coldwater Public Library at 6:30 PM.

Student Winter Reading Program

The Fort Recovery Education Association (FREA) is sponsoring a Winter Reading Program. Fort Recovery Local Schools students of all grades are encouraged to check out books at the FR Public Library January 18th - February 23rd. Students earn a sweet treat every time they check out books, and for every 100 books checked out during this time period, FREA will donate one book to the school library and one to the public library. The more students read, the more books the libraries earn! Thank you FREA for sponsoring this great program.

Grandma is getting more and more forgetful and can't find the key to her recipe box where her secret Thanksgiving dressing recipe is. She needs your help. Call the Library at 419-375-2869 to register your team of 6 to come and help Unlock the Box and save Family Thanksgiving! For specific times, please call the Library.

Students that have registered to participate in the Battle of the Books will be meeting at the Library today from 3:35 pm - 4:00 pm to discuss teams and books that will be used for the competition.
